Jeanette Szmiett RDH, BSDH, MHST

  • Graduated as a Certified Dental Assistant (Level II) from Fanshawe College in 2002 and then became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2007 after completing studies at St. Clair College.
  • In 2011, earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Detroit Mercy. Further advanced with a Master’s degree in Health Studies, specializing in Teaching, from Athabasca University in 2021
  • Since 2011, has held a faculty position at Fanshawe College’s School of Health Sciences, contributing to the education of future dental professionals.
  • Owner and operator of a private dental hygiene practice since 2015.
  • Certified SDA Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) Trainer since 2022, with a passion for cutting-edge care.
  • Currently engaged in education research, dedicated to advancing dental hygiene teaching and practice.
